Online Special Education Teacher in TX

A credentialed special education teacher specializing in dyslexia is needed to deliver virtual instruction through telehealth. This contract-to-hire opportunity is based in New Braunfels, TX, supporting a homebound student with dyslexia using the MTA program.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing dyslexia instruction virtually, four times per week for 45-minute sessions
• Utilizing the MTA instructional program to support the students reading and language development
• Maintaining consistent communication and reporting on student progress to the appropriate educational team members
• Delivering services within the scheduled time windows: 11:30 AM 12:30 PM Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM 10:00 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Valid teaching credentials qualifying for special education instruction
• Demonstrated expertise in dyslexia instruction, specifically with the MTA methodology
• Prior experience delivering telehealth instruction is preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage virtual sessions effectively
