Special Education Teacher Work From Home - Michigan
This contract position seeks a Special Education Teacher licensed in Michigan to provide telehealth services for students in grades 6-8. The role requires managing a caseload of students with special education needs, with para support available. The position involves supporting one student currently split between two locations. This opportunity is based in Waterford, MI, offering approximately 30 hours per week for the remainder of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to individual education plans (IEPs) via telehealth.
- Manage and maintain a caseload of students in grades 6-8 with special education needs.
- Collaborate with paraeducators to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Coordinate services and schedules across multiple locations as required.
- Document student progress and communicate effectively with families and school staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Michigan Special Education teaching license.
- Experience working with middle school students (grades 6-8) in a special education setting.
