Online Special Education Teacher in VT

This opportunity involves supporting elementary students requiring special education services in two onsite locations in Vermont. The positions focus on providing tailored educational support to children in early and elementary grades within established school settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and accommodations to students with individualized education plans (IEPs) in grades K-2 or 3-5.
• Collaborate with existing special education staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
• Manage caseloads of approximately 16-18 students per location.
• Provide case management and consultation services, particularly for early childhood students ages 3-5, across both sites as needed.
• Maintain clear and ongoing communication with educators, families, and support staff to enhance student outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant special education policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification in special education appropriate for K-5 or early childhood settings.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs in school environments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite with flexibility to support two separate locations.
• Background in early childhood special education and telehealth services is a plus.

Locations:

• Washington, VT servicing a group of 16 students, with flexibility for K-2 or 3-5 grade placement.
• Williamstown, VT working with 18 students, also flexible between K-2 or 3-5 grades.
• Early Childhood Special Educator role split between both locations, serving 3-5 year olds.

This full-time contract position offers a 37.5-hour workweek dedicated to making a meaningful difference in students educational experiences.
