Special Education Teacher in Theodore, AL
An opening is available for a full-time Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year in Theodore, AL. This position becomes vacant due to the current special education teachers retirement. The role is based in a school setting and operates on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with special needs.
- Manage a caseload of up to 24 students, providing specialized instruction and support.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance student learning and progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student performance and behavior.
- Participate in school meetings and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with diverse student populations in special education.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively while providing individualized attention.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 6:50 AM to 2:45 PM CST.
- Full-time commitment of approximately 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
