Remote Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Florida
A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, utilizing telehealth services. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support remotely to meet the unique needs of students with hearing impairments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing telehealth-based educational services tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Developing individualized learning plans that address communication and auditory development.
- Collaborating with families, audiologists, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Monitoring and assessing student performance, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to student services and outcomes.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
- Demonstrated expertise in telehealth delivery models for special education.
- Strong understanding of auditory and speech development in children with hearing loss.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage students remotely.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
