Remote Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Massachusetts

This opportunity seeks a specialized educator experienced in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through telehealth services. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored telehealth instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize technology effectively to engage students and monitor progress during remote sessions
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff to ensure consistent support and address challenges
• Maintain detailed documentation of student sessions, progress, and outcomes
• Stay current with best practices and innovations in teaching students with hearing loss through telehealth platforms

Qualifications:

• Certification in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Experience delivering telehealth or remote instruction, especially in special education settings
• Strong knowledge of communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL) and auditory-oral approaches
• Ability to create engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual student needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with families and professionals
