Remote Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Delaware
Seeking an experienced educator with expertise in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through telehealth services. This contract role, based in Bridgeville, Delaware, involves providing specialized instruction and support to meet the unique needs of students with hearing impairments in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, effective instruction tailored to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing using telehealth platforms.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to address individual learning goals.
- Collaborate with families, support staff, and related service providers to create comprehensive educational plans.
- Utilize technology and telecommunication tools to facilitate remote learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and services provided.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Experience with telehealth delivery methods for educational services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, families, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of Deaf culture and language acquisition, including American Sign Language (ASL).
- Ability to work independently and manage virtual instructional schedules.
