Remote Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Texas
A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education, providing support through telehealth services. This role supports one student and focuses on delivering tailored instructional strategies and communication access to meet individual needs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to a student who is deaf or hard of hearing using telehealth platforms.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the students learning profile.
- Utilize specialized teaching methods to enhance communication, language development, and academic achievement.
- Collaborate with educational and therapeutic professionals as necessary to ensure comprehensive support.
- Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies to optimize learning outcomes in a virtual environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing.
- Demonstrated experience providing services through telehealth.
- Strong knowledge of educational strategies and resources for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Ability to individualize instruction based on a students unique needs.
- Effective communication skills to engage students and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
