Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - ND

A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing specializing in telehealth services. The position is based in Fargo, ND, supporting students with hearing challenges through virtual instruction and intervention.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized educational instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing via telehealth platforms
• Collaborating with families, educators, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and goals
• Monitoring student progress and adapting instructional approaches to meet unique learning needs
• Maintaining accurate documentation and communication to ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations
• Providing guidance on assistive technology and communication strategies beneficial to student success

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Experience delivering instruction or services through telehealth modalities
• Strong knowledge of language development, auditory habilitation, and educational strategies for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly with families
• Reliable technology skills and comfort navigating virtual learning platforms
