Online Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - North Dakota
This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized educational services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through telehealth platforms. Located in Fargo, ND, this contract role focuses on delivering tailored instruction and support to enhance students communication and learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction and intervention for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing using telehealth technology.
- Develop individualized learning plans that address communication, language, and auditory goals.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and support staff to monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed.
- Utilize assessment tools to evaluate student skills and recommend appropriate accommodations.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with educational standards.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Experience delivering educational services via telehealth or virtual platforms.
- Strong knowledge of communication modalities including American Sign Language (ASL) and auditory-oral methods.
- Ability to design engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Effective communication skills to work with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
