Virtual Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in TX
An opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing specializing in Telehealth services within an educational setting. This role requires delivering specialized support and instruction to students with hearing impairments through remote technology, ensuring accessible and effective communication and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized telehealth instruction and support to students with hearing loss.
- Develop and implement educational plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with families, speech therapists, audiologists, and other professionals to coordinate services.
- Utilize technology to facilitate remote learning sessions and conduct assessments.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches based on data and feedback.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with educational standards and policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing.
- Experience delivering telehealth services in an educational context.
- Strong knowledge of auditory-verbal and other communication methodologies for students with hearing impairments.
- Familiarity with assistive listening devices and remote learning technologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students virtually.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote instructional environment.
