Online Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Texas

An opportunity is available for a specialized educator with expertise in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing and those who are Visually Impaired. This contract position involves delivering instruction and support through telehealth services, ensuring accessibility and quality education for students with sensory impairments.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing tailored instructional support to students who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or Visually Impaired via telehealth platforms
• Collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to develop individualized educational plans
• Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Utilizing specialized equipment and technology to enhance communication and learning outcomes
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting on student performance and engagement

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and/or Teacher for the Visually Impaired
• Experience delivering educational services through telehealth or remote platforms
• Knowledge of assistive technologies and communication methods used by students with sensory impairments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and their support networks
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual needs in a remote learning environment
