Virtual Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in TX
A contract position is available for a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing specializing in telehealth services. This role supports students with hearing impairments by delivering specialized instruction and therapies through virtual platforms, ensuring accessibility and effective communication.
Location: Helotes, TX
Responsibilities include:
- Providing instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing using telehealth technology
- Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
- Collaborating with families, educators, and support staff to enhance student learning outcomes
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with relevant regulations
Desired qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Experience delivering telehealth services to students with hearing impairments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for virtual and collaborative settings
- Ability to design and implement individualized instructional plans
- Familiarity with assistive technology and hearing support tools
