Online Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Florida

A contract position is available for a Virtual Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education, serving students across Florida. This full-time role requires dedication to supporting learners from PreK through 12th grade, including those aged 18 to 22, with a caseload of approximately 20 to 30 students. The position begins immediately and extends through May 28, 2027.

Key responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction via telehealth platforms, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with families and educational staff to meet each students unique needs. This role supports learners by providing tailored strategies and interventions designed to enhance communication and academic achievement for those who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Valid credential as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing for grades K12
• Proven experience in virtual or telehealth educational settings
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload of students with a variety of educational needs
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in assistive technologies

Location: This position is virtual, based out of Homosassa, FL.
