Virtual Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - TX

Providing specialized support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing through telehealth services offers a unique opportunity to impact educational outcomes remotely. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting telehealth sessions focused on the development of listening, speech, and language skills for students who are deaf or hard of hearing

• Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies based on assessment data
• Utilizing assistive technology and communication tools to enhance student engagement

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Certification or licensure in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Experience delivering instruction via telehealth or other remote platforms
• Strong knowledge of auditory-oral strategies, sign language, and assistive listening devices
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills

This position is based in the JBSA Lackland, TX area and operates under a contract arrangement, providing flexibility in scheduling and work environment.
