Virtual Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - TX
A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing providing telehealth services. This role is based in Kyle, TX, and involves delivering specialized instruction and support for students with hearing impairments through remote platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct telehealth sessions to assess and address the educational needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students auditory and communication requirements.
- Collaborate with families, classroom teachers, and support staff to promote student progress and inclusion.
- Monitor student performance, adjusting instructional strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of sessions, progress reports, and compliance with educational standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Experience in delivering specialized instruction in a telehealth or remote learning environment.
- Strong knowledge of auditory-verbal therapy techniques and assistive technology for hearing-impaired students.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, families, and school staff remotely.
- Ability to organize and manage caseload effectively in a virtual setting.
