Remote Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Florida
An opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, with expertise in telehealth services, located in Lake Wales, FL. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments through both in-person and telehealth methods.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized education plans tailored to the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Utilizing telehealth platforms to conduct assessments, therapy, and instruction remotely
- Collaborating with families, audiologists, and other professionals to support student development
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintaining accurate records of student performance and intervention outcomes
Qualifications desired:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing
- Experience with telehealth technologies and virtual instruction techniques
- Strong understanding of communication methods used among Deaf and Hard of Hearing populations
- Ability to design and implement effective educational programs for hearing-impaired students
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children and their families
