Remote Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Delaware

Opportunities are available for a skilled professional specializing in education for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through a telehealth format. This contract role supports remote learning and specialized instruction designed to meet the unique needs of these learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored telehealth teaching services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on auditory and communication skills
• Collaborate with support staff, families, and related service providers to optimize student progress
• Monitor and assess student performance and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Utilize technology platforms effectively to engage and instruct students remotely

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Proven experience in telehealth education or virtual instructional settings
• Strong understanding of audiological, linguistic, and educational needs pertaining to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to use technology and digital tools to facilitate remote learning
