Remote Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Delaware
Opportunities are available for a skilled professional specializing in education for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through a telehealth format. This contract role supports remote learning and specialized instruction designed to meet the unique needs of these learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored telehealth teaching services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on auditory and communication skills
- Collaborate with support staff, families, and related service providers to optimize student progress
- Monitor and assess student performance and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Utilize technology platforms effectively to engage and instruct students remotely
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Proven experience in telehealth education or virtual instructional settings
- Strong understanding of audiological, linguistic, and educational needs pertaining to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to use technology and digital tools to facilitate remote learning

- This position is conducted remotely but serves students located in Laurel, DE.
