Virtual Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - LA
A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, delivering services via telehealth. This position supports educational development through remote instruction tailored to students with hearing impairments.
Location: Metairie, LA
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students using telehealth platforms.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff and families.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Facilitate communication between students, families, and educational teams through virtual means.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and student outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
- Experience with telehealth service delivery in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of hearing impairments and related educational strategies.
- Proficiency with virtual learning tools and communication technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage students remotely.
