Remote Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | New York
Providing specialized instruction through telehealth, this role focuses on supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing within a school setting. The position requires delivering effective, accessible education tailored to individual needs, fostering communication skills, and promoting academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver virtual instruction and support for students with hearing impairments using telehealth platforms.
- Develop and adapt curriculum and lesson plans appropriate for Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and specialists to create comprehensive support plans.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Experience providing telehealth educational services.
