This opportunity seeks a skilled Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to provide telehealth services. The role involves delivering specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments, utilizing virtual platforms to facilitate effective learning and communication.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with hearing loss
- Conduct telehealth sessions focusing on language development, auditory training, and speech skills
- Collaborate with families, audiologists, and other professionals to support student progress
- Monitor and document student outcomes to guide instructional strategies
- Provide expertise on assistive technology and communication methods suitable for deaf and hard of hearing learners
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Experience delivering educational services via telehealth platforms
- Strong understanding of hearing impairment and related educational techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs remotely
