Remote Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Pennsylvania
This role focuses on delivering specialized telehealth instruction for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing within an educational setting. The position requires expertise in adapting teaching methods and communication techniques to support the unique learning needs of these students remotely.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing tailored instruction and support through telehealth platforms to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Collaborating with educational staff and families to develop and implement individualized learning plans
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies to enhance learning outcomes
- Utilizing technology effectively to engage students and facilitate communication
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reports related to student performance and services provided
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certified Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing with knowledge of auditory, speech, and language development
- Experience in delivering instruction via telehealth or similar remote education platforms
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with students, families, and educators
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed records
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and accommodations for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
