Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in ME
A contract position is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing specializing in Telehealth services. This role supports students requiring auditory and communication assistance through virtual platforms, ensuring equitable access to education.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing via telehealth.
- Developing and adapting curriculum tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborating with families, school staff, and related service providers to promote student success.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintaining accurate records and complying with federal and state educational guidelines.
Desired qualifications or experience:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Proven experience in telehealth or remote instructional delivery.
- Strong knowledge of auditory learning strategies and communication methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a virtual caseload effectively.
