Virtual Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - RI
A specialized opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to provide telehealth services within an educational setting in Providence, Rhode Island. This contract position focuses on delivering support and instructional services to students with hearing impairments through virtual platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing via telehealth.
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress remotely.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and related service providers to adjust interventions and support strategies.
- Utilize technology effectively to engage and instruct students in a virtual environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions and student outcomes.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure relevant to teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Experience providing telehealth services in an educational context, preferably with school-aged children.
- Strong knowledge of communication methods and technologies used with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
- Ability to work independently and manage digital platforms for instruction.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
