Virtual Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - TX
A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education, delivering services through telehealth to support a student in Schertz, TX. This role involves providing specialized instruction and communication support tailored to the unique needs of a student who is deaf or hard of hearing.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on auditory, speech, language, and academic skills.
- Utilizing telehealth platforms to conduct lessons, assessments, and progress monitoring.
- Collaborating with families, therapists, and school personnel to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Adapting instructional materials to suit virtual delivery and the students communication preferences.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification or licensure to teach students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Experience delivering educational services via telehealth or online modalities.
- Strong understanding of auditory development, speech-language pathology, and assistive technologies.
- Ability to engage effectively with students remotely and adapt instruction to their specific needs.
