Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in RI

Seeking a qualified educator specializing in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing through telehealth services. This contract position offers the opportunity to deliver specialized instruction remotely, supporting students language development, communication skills, and academic progress.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct telehealth instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
• Collaborate with families, educational staff, and other service providers to ensure comprehensive support
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate records and document services provided in compliance with applicable regulations

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing or equivalent credentials
• Experience delivering instruction via telehealth platforms, preferably in K-12 settings
• Strong knowledge of audiological and speech-language development principles
• Ability to create engaging, accessible lessons tailored for remote learning
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

• Remote services with a requirement to support school district(s) in Warwick, RI
