Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Georgia

A specialized opportunity is available for a Vision Impairment Teacher (TVI) to provide telehealth instruction in Atlanta, GA. This part-time contract role involves delivering targeted educational support to a 6th-grade student with a visual impairment, ensuring accessibility and effective learning aligned with IEP requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering two 30-minute individualized telehealth sessions per month tailored to the student's vision-related learning needs
• Collaborating with classroom educators and staff to implement accommodations and modify instructional materials for accessibility
• Offering consultative support on assistive technology, accessibility methods, and necessary adjustments within the learning environment
• Monitoring student progress and communicating vision-related updates to the broader school team
• Assisting school staff to maintain compliance with IEP mandates and accommodation guidelines

Qualifications sought for this role:

• Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC) certification with a Vision Impairment or Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) endorsement
• Experience working with students with visual impairments, preferably at the middle school level
• Strong knowledge of assistive technologies and instructional adaptations for visually impaired learners
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams via telehealth platforms

Location: Atlanta, Georgia (remote telehealth delivery)
Schedule: Part-time, two 30-minute sessions per month
Contract term: Immediate start through May 28, 2026
