Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - Ohio
A full-time opportunity is available for a Teachers for the Visually Impaired position, serving K-12 students through telehealth services in Columbus, OH. This contract role involves providing specialized instruction and support to visually impaired learners, utilizing remote technology to address educational goals and foster student growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering tailored instruction and interventions aligned with students individual education plans (IEPs)
- Conducting assessments to monitor student progress and modify teaching strategies accordingly
- Collaborating with school staff, families, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive educational support
- Utilizing telehealth platforms to engage students in virtual learning environments effectively
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting for compliance with educational guidelines and licensing requirements
Preferred qualifications:
- Valid Intervention Specialist License
- Experience working with visually impaired students across kindergarten through 12th grade
- Strong knowledge of specialized instructional methods and adaptive technologies for students with visual impairments
- Ability to deliver services effectively via telehealth in a remote learning context
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
