Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - Kentucky

Seeking a skilled professional to provide specialized instruction for visually impaired students through telehealth services. This contractual position focuses on delivering quality education and support tailored to the needs of students requiring visual impairment assistance.

Location: Cynthiana, KY

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver approximately 12 hours per month of direct instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapting weekly schedules based on school session lengths.
• Provide increased instructional hours during specific months: 4 hours in November, April, and May; and approximately 6 hours in December.
• Allocate 4 hours monthly for data collection, graphing, and preparation of Annual Review Conferences (ARC).
• Conduct evaluations as required, typically around 3 hours per month.
• Make up for missed instructional minutes from August and September, adding roughly 5 hours per month, totaling about 25 hours of service monthly.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience teaching students with visual impairments, preferably via telehealth platforms.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation for visually impaired learners.
• Ability to manage, analyze, and report data related to student progress.
• Skilled in conducting educational evaluations.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with educators, families, and support teams.
