A contract position is available for a skilled professional specializing in telehealth instruction for visually impaired students. This role involves delivering specialized teaching services remotely, primarily focused on students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), with a flexible monthly schedule totaling approximately 25 hours.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct instruction totaling around 12 hours monthly, with varying weekly hours due to school session lengths. Most months require about 3 hours weekly, increasing to 4 hours during November, April, and May, and approximately 6 hours in December during a two-week session.

  • Completing 4 hours per month dedicated to data collection, graphing, and ARCs (Assessment, Review, and Communication) preparation.

  • Conducting evaluations amounting to approximately 3 hours per month, dependent on student evaluation timelines.

  • Making up missed instructional service minutes from August and September, adding about 5 extra hours monthly.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Certification and proven experience in teaching students with visual impairments, especially via telehealth platforms.

  • Ability to manage flexible scheduling and adapt to varying instructional hours month-to-month.

  • Strong skills in data management, progress tracking, and reporting related to special education requirements.

  • Familiarity with evaluating visually impaired students and conducting assessments in compliance with educational standards.
