Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Ohio
A full-time opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in education for visually impaired students, serving K-12 populations through telehealth services. This contract position supports remote learning and intervention strategies tailored to students with visual impairments, ensuring access to appropriate resources and educational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and intervention plans for students with visual impairments in a K-12 setting.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to conduct remote sessions, assessments, and consultations.
- Collaborate with family members, educators, and related service providers to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adapt instructional methods based on evaluation outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations related to special education services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Intervention Specialist License required.
- Demonstrated experience teaching students with visual impairments.
- Proficiency in using telehealth technologies for educational purposes.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of K-12 curriculum standards and accommodations for visually impaired learners.
