Virtual Teacher of Visually Impaired in KY
A full-time contract position is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Louisa, KY, covering the entire school year. This role is designed to provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, utilizing telehealth methods to effectively deliver educational services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing individualized educational programs tailored to students with visual impairments
- Collaborating with general education teachers and participating in IEP and Admission and Release Committee meetings
- Monitoring student progress and adapting instructional strategies as needed
- Completing all required professional development and training in accordance with Kentucky state guidelines
- Adhering to the Kentucky professional code of ethics throughout all professional activities
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) in the state of Kentucky is mandatory
- Experience working with students who have visual impairments preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with school staff, students, and families
- Ability to manage telehealth instruction and related technologies effectively
