Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) - Maryland

Supporting students with visual impairments through telehealth services requires specialized skills and dedication. This role focuses on delivering high-quality instruction and support to visually impaired learners in a remote setting.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing individualized educational instruction tailored to the needs of visually impaired students.
• Utilizing telehealth platforms to conduct assessments, lessons, and consultations.
• Collaborating with families, educators, and related service providers to support student goals.
• Developing and adapting instructional materials suitable for students with visual impairments.
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of services delivered and outcomes achieved.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
• Experience delivering services through telehealth or remote learning platforms.
• Strong knowledge of visual impairment educational strategies and assistive technologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and educational teams.
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and educational compliance requirements.
• Reliable internet connection and technology setup to support telehealth service delivery.

Location: Services provided remotely with coordination based in Rock Hall, MD.
