Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | North Carolina
A part-time opportunity is available for a Visually Impaired Teacher specializing in telehealth services. This role focuses on providing virtual instruction and support to a kindergarten student over four days each week, totaling six hours (1.5 hours per day). The position is designed for a remote setting, ensuring flexibility while delivering specialized educational services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting virtual lessons tailored to the needs of a visually impaired kindergarten student
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) related to visual impairment
- Utilizing telehealth platforms to provide effective instruction and support
- Collaborating with families to enhance student learning and engagement
- Tracking student progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly
Preferred qualifications and experience include:
- Certification and experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience with telehealth education delivery methods
- Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is highly desirable, as the student predominantly speaks Spanish
- Strong understanding of early childhood education and visual impairment interventions
