Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Modesto, CA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a dynamic K-8 school setting in Modesto, CA. This contract position runs from the start of the school year through the end of the school year, serving a diverse caseload of approximately 55 students ranging from Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grade. The role involves supporting students with mild to moderate speech and language disabilities, including those in Autism Special Day Classes (SDC), Emotional Support Needs (ESN), and other specialized programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and providing speech-language therapy services as outlined in individual IEPs
- Delivering interventions via pull-out, push-in, or consultation models based on student needs
- Collaborating with educators, staff, and families to support student progress
- Participating in IEP meetings and maintaining accurate documentation
- Serving students across potentially two school sites
Qualifications:
- Valid California license for Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) required
- Experience working with pediatric populations from early childhood through middle school
- Familiarity with providing services for students with mild to moderate disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 55 students effectively
