Remote Speech-Language Teletherapist (SLP) Texas
Position Overview
We are hiring a licensed and experienced Remote Speech-Language Teletherapist to provide virtual therapy services to K12 students across Texas. In this fully remote role, youll support students with communication needs through teletherapy, help develop and implement IEP goals, and collaborate with educators and families to promote student growth and success.
Ideal candidates are familiar with Texas education guidelines, have experience in school-based settings, and are comfortable using teletherapy tools to provide engaging, evidence-based services.
Key Responsibilities

Provide virtual speech and language therapy to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.

Conduct remote screenings and comprehensive evaluations to assess student needs.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each students IEP.

Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to support communication development.

Attend and contribute to virtual IEP meetings, progress reviews, and multidisciplinary team discussions.

Maintain accurate records, session notes, and documentation in compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) and federal guidelines.

Use digital platforms and therapy tools to deliver effective, student-centered services.

Stay informed on best practices in teletherapy and Texas education requirements.
Required Qualifications
Education & Licensing

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Active Texas SLP license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.

Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and Texas-specific special education standards.
Experience & Skills

Previous experience in a K12 school setting, virtual or in-person.

Proficient in conducting virtual assessments and therapy sessions using secure video conferencing tools.

Excellent communication and organization skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating virtually with school staff and families.

Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital therapy resources and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) a plus.

Familiarity with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) systems.

Experience supporting culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Knowledge of Texas IEP processes and documentation platforms such as Frontline or SEIS.
