Job Summary:

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide virtual speech and language services to K12 students in a Virginia school district. The SLP will play a critical role in helping students improve communication skills and access their education. This remote role offers flexibility while supporting compliance with IEPs and state regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students with communication disorders in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Conduct virtual evaluations, screenings, and assessments to identify students' speech and language needs

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans using evidence-based practices

  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and data reporting

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a coordinated approach to student services

  • Maintain detailed documentation for Medicaid billing (if applicable) and district reporting

  • Stay current with state and federal guidelines, including those from the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE)


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Active Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology license

  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA - CCC-SLP)

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a school or pediatric setting

  • Familiarity with IEP processes and IDEA compliance

  • Access to a secure, quiet workspace with reliable high-speed internet and appropriate technology (webcam, microphone, etc.)

Preferred:

  • Experience providing teletherapy or remote SLP services

  • Knowledge of Virginia-specific educational and Medicaid documentation requirements

  • Bilingual skills are a plus, especially Spanish or ASL


Work Environment:

  • 100% remote (telepractice)

  • Flexible hours based on student scheduling needs

  • Must be able to meet virtually with students, staff, and families during school hours
