School Speech Therapist | Ypsilanti, Michigan
A K-12 public school in Ypsilanti, MI, is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team for the current school year. This contract position offers 24 hours per week over 3 days, working directly with a diverse caseload of approximately 40 students across all grade levels.
Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders for students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The SLP will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and implement effective therapy plans that support students academic and social success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion preferred
- Experience working with K-12 aged students and familiarity with school-based speech therapy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
