A Special Education teaching position is available in Avondale, AZ, providing an opportunity to work with a small group of students in 3rd and 4th grades. This onsite, full-time contract role, lasting through May 21, 2026, is ideal for educators skilled in supporting diverse disabilities and behaviors within a structured school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction to approximately 4 students with varying disabilities
Collaborate with para-educators to enhance student learning and support
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
Maintain classroom management and foster a positive learning environment
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Arizona Special Education Educator Certification
Experience working with students with a broad range of disabilities and behavioral challenges
IVP Fingerprint Card required for compliance
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work onsite, with a commitment to the schools schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM, and Wednesday from 8:15 AM to 2:00 PM
Previous special education teaching experience preferred
