A dynamic opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in 5th grade intervention within a school setting located in Sterling Heights, MI. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and intervention for a 5th grade caseload of 38 students, encompassing both general education and special education learners.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations to support academic growth.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive classroom environments.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Engage in professional development and training as part of continuous improvement efforts.
- Adhere to school hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, fostering consistency and routine for students.
- Experience with Long-Term Substitute (LTS) roles since January, demonstrating adaptability and commitment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Proven experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in 5th grade intervention.
