A school in Monument, CO is seeking a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for full-time and part-time contract positions available immediately through the end of the school year. This role involves providing specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring they have access to the general education curriculum and communication supports tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, audiologists, and families to support student learning
- Develop and adapt educational materials to meet students communication and learning needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain compliance with state licensure and educational standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in education or related field
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) license for the state of Colorado
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
