Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of visually impaired students across K-12 grades
- Consult with general education teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) focused on visual impairment-related goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust services as needed
- Provide assistive technology guidance and training related to visual impairment
- Document services and maintain accurate records in compliance with educational standards
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
- Demonstrated experience in working with visually impaired K-12 students
- Strong knowledge of specialized instructional strategies and assistive technologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators and families
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 7-8 students efficiently
