A contract position is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired to serve K-12 students. This role involves providing specialized services to approximately 7-8 students, focusing on consultation and direct instructional support.

Location: Pelham, GA
Contract Dates: July 31 through May 23
Schedule: Approximately 17 hours per month, spread across 3-4 days monthly

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored educational services for students with visual impairments
Consult with general education teachers and staff to support student needs
Develop and implement individualized plans for students on the caseload
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly
Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments
Strong understanding of visual impairment impact on learning and development
Ability to consult effectively with educators and families
