Overview

Transitioning into a school-based telepractice role is a valuable opportunity for clinicians looking to expand their impact in education while continuing to deliver high-quality care remotely. For SLPs, OTs, PTs, and school psychologists coming from clinical, hospital, or early intervention settings, many core skills carry over, while new setting-specific knowledge helps align your approach with student and school needs.

This pre-recorded webinar offers practical insights and expert guidance for professionals exploring remote therapy careers or preparing to deliver online therapy in schools. Our presenters walk through the key differences between clinical and educational settings, share essential teletherapy skills for school-based practice, and provide real-world strategies for effective virtual service delivery.

What You'll Learn

  • Describe topics practitioners transitioning from medical, clinical, or private practice settings need to know before beginning work in a school.
  • Summarize federal laws and guidelines that impact special education programming for students.
  • Describe differences in daily practice for telepractitioners working in a school setting and tips on how to make the shift.
