Remote Gen Ed Teacher in VA

This remote contract opportunity seeks a Virtual Elementary Teacher (K5) to deliver engaging online instruction and academic support for young learners. The role offers approximately 15 hours per week on a flexible schedule, ideal for an educator who values creating a positive and effective virtual learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct live virtual instruction in one-on-one or small-group formats.
• Teach core subjects including Reading and Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Encourage student engagement, participation, and confidence within a virtual classroom.
• Monitor student progress and provide consistent feedback to families and educational staff.
• Maintain accurate attendance, communication, and instructional documentation.
• Attend occasional virtual meetings or professional training sessions as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
• Teaching certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with virtual teaching or tutoring is advantageous.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with virtual learning platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Google Classroom.
• Ability to work independently and responsibly as a 1099 contractor.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace at home.
