Virtual General Education Teacher | Virginia

A Virtual Elementary Teacher (K5) contractor position is available to deliver dynamic online instruction and support for students in grades kindergarten through five. This role offers an opportunity to engage young learners remotely while fostering foundational skills across core subjects in a flexible, part-time capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide live virtual instruction to elementary students through one-on-one and small-group sessions
• Teach Reading and Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies with developmentally appropriate methods
• Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities tailored to diverse learning needs
• Promote student engagement, confidence, and active participation in the virtual classroom
• Monitor academic progress and communicate regularly with families and educational staff
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, communication, and instructional materials
• Participate in occasional virtual meetings or professional development as required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Education or a related discipline preferred
• Teaching certification is advantageous but not mandatory
• Experience working with elementary-aged students strongly preferred
• Previous experience with virtual teaching or tutoring is a plus
• Proficient in using virtual learning tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Google Classroom
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Ability to work independently as a professional 1099 contractor
• Access to reliable internet and a suitable home workspace

Schedule:

• Approximately 15 hours per week with flexible hours based on student needs, including daytime and after-school availability
