Remote Gen Ed Teacher in VA

A remote opportunity is available for a Virtual Elementary Teacher (K5) to deliver engaging, live instruction in an online setting. This part-time, independent contractor role involves approximately 15 hours of teaching per week, offering flexibility to accommodate student and program schedules. Instruction will focus on core subjects including Reading and Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering live virtual lessons to elementary students in one-on-one or small group formats
• Developing age-appropriate lesson plans and instructional activities aligned with grade-level standards
• Differentiating instruction to meet individual student needs and learning styles
• Encouraging student engagement and confidence in a virtual classroom environment
• Monitoring and documenting student progress, maintaining accurate attendance and instructional records
• Providing regular feedback to families and collaborating with staff as needed
• Participating in occasional virtual meetings or training sessions

Qualifications sought for this role are:

• Bachelors degree in Education or a related field preferred
• Teaching certification preferred but not required
• Experience working with elementary-aged students highly valued
