Teletherapy Occupational Therapist | Florida
A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist with expertise in school-based services and telehealth, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position involves supporting students across seven schools and supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). The role requires approximately 30 hours per week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing occupational therapy services within school settings via both in-person and telehealth modalities
- Collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Supervising a COTA to ensure quality care and compliance with therapeutic goals
- Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records in accordance with regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license appropriate for school practice
- Experience delivering occupational therapy in school environments and via telehealth platforms
- Ability to supervise COTAs and guide clinical practices effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate with multiple schools and stakeholders
