Remote Occupational Therapist in IL

A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services with experience in telehealth delivery. This role supports early childhood through second-grade students, providing essential OT services to enhance their educational experience.

Location: Prospect Heights, IL
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:55 AM to 2:55 PM
Contract Dates: August 17 to June 3
Age Group Served: Early Childhood, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade
Caseload: To be determined

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students ages EC through 2nd grade within a school setting.
• Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to provide remote OT interventions and consultations when necessary.
• Collaborate with educational staff to support individualized education program (IEP) goals and student progress.
• Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document student performance and therapy outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license with credentials to practice in educational settings.
• Experience providing OT services in schools, including telehealth delivery models.
• Ability to engage young children and tailor interventions to developmental needs.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff.
• Note: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) are not eligible for this role.
